Kelowna General Hospital offers an impressive list of innovative services that recently include the addition of Cardiac Surgery, Electrophysiology, and an Endovascular Thrombectomy Neuro-interventional service.

Academic Hub

Founded in 2011, Kelowna is home to the Southern Medicine program, a branch of the UBC Faculty of Medicine. The program welcomes 32 medical students each year. In addition KGH is home to a Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency training program. The KGH Hospitalist service provides a core one month rotation for all family medicine residents and also elective rotations for medical students and residents from outside of Kelowna.
